About Extra Space Storage
Extra Space Storage on Merrimac Trl in Williamsburg has built a strong reputation. With a 4.9-star average from 663 Google reviews, it's clear people notice the service. Reviewers often mention the staff by name, like Teddy and Dee, saying they're friendly and patient and make the rental process easy. The facility itself gets consistent praise for being clean and well lit. It's fairly new and in good shape, with flat carts available to move your things down the hallway. One reviewer who runs a moving company calls it secure and clean, and another appreciated the contactless gate option, though they had to use the rolling carts by the door when the app didn't work. The team can even put a lock on your unit for you if you're out of state. Not everything is perfect. One reviewer saw their monthly rate double after six months, which they attributed to corporate policy rather than the local staff. Still, most reviews highlight the helpful people and clean units. The facility offers climate control, drive-up access, and vehicle storage, and it's wheelchair accessible.
