About Extra Space Storage
This Extra Space location on Orchard Lake Dr. in Charlotte holds a 4.9 rating across 393 Google reviews, and the staff come up again and again. Reviewers describe Tom as patient, knowledgeable, and willing to stay late to help. Sharon gets named too. People mention being walked through the right unit and insurance without feeling rushed. The facility has been renovated, and reviewers call the units clean and the grounds quiet and safe. One long-term customer says they have had zero issues over several years. Another notes that smaller climate-controlled units nearby keep a larger non-climate unit feeling cooler than expected. Small, medium, and large units are available, and the property is wheelchair accessible. Not every review is glowing. One customer who stored things for a year felt the place took advantage of long-term renters, while saying a short stay was fine. Read the reviews and decide what fits your timeline.
