About Public Storage

Public Storage in Oak Lawn is a self-storage facility that also lists automobile, boat and RV storage among its categories. Units run from small 5x5 up to large 10x20, and most are climate controlled with elevator access and inside rollup doors. At least one 10x20 is on the ground floor. Access is available 24/7, and the entrance and parking lot are wheelchair accessible. Reviewers tend to talk about the staff. Several name Mark, Anna and Ted, describing them as patient and knowledgeable and saying they answered a lot of questions during the rental process. One long-term renter has kept art, clothing and household items there over four years and values the climate-controlled units in different sizes. Others mention getting help downsizing from one unit to another. A few reviews point the other way. One renter wrote about rent climbing sharply since 2023 and described a broken window, an out-of-service front door and a back door left open. Another had trouble with rollup doors that would not stay up. Worth reading the recent reviews before you sign.
