About Extra Space Storage
Extra Space Storage sits at 1800 Des Plaines Ave in Forest Park, near Cermak Rd. It handles self storage plus vehicle and boat parking, so there is room for a rig alongside the usual household overflow. Units come in small, medium and large, with climate control and drive-up access among the options. Reviewers keep coming back to two things: how clean the place is and how helpful the staff are. Ally and Nancy get named a lot, described as friendly and good at explaining the options without pushing. One renter said the whole process felt simple from start to finish. The complaints are worth knowing. Rates have gone up more than once for long-term renters, and the elevator has been out several weekends in a row for at least one person trying to move. The facility is wheelchair accessible, with accessible parking. Hours vary, so check before you drive over.
