About Extra Space Storage
Extra Space Storage sits on Rahway Ave in Avenel, with freeway access that makes dropping the rig a short detour. Parking spaces and outdoor RV parking are part of the setup, along with wide drive aisles and a kiosk for getting in and out. Security cameras are on site, and reviewers mention seeing them and feeling better about walking to their units alone. Staff come up often in the reviews, especially Ariana and Megan, described as warm, patient, and clear when explaining how things work. One customer said the rental process felt easy and smooth. Some reviews tell a different story. A couple of renters reported mice and droppings in their units, and one said the front desk handled the report poorly. The rating is high overall, but that pest feedback is part of the record. Hours are posted, and the office is not open around the clock.
