About Extra Space Storage
Extra Space Storage on the self-storage side of things in Austin. The facility has cameras and elevators, and the building shows up in reviews as clean and newer. Staff get named a lot, with the manager and front office crew called helpful and quick to answer questions. Online rental is an option, and renters describe getting written instructions by email and opening the access door with a phone app. The elevator stands out in feedback. One reviewer had a building elevator break during their rental but said the office kept them posted and the replacement works better. Moving carts get called sturdy. Wheelchair access and an LGBTQ+ friendly note are listed. Security is the mixed part. Some reviewers call the place safe, but one describes a ground-floor unit broken into, then a second break-in after a move, with doors left unrepaired and no security changes. Hours are set, not 24/7. Worth asking about security and unit location.
