Greenacres, FL
RV Storage in Greenacres, FL
Greenacres sits close enough to the coast that salt air and sun do a number on gelcoat and rubber. With only four RV storage options in town and another twelve nearby, the choice comes down to how much protection you want. Ratings here run high, so you're not picking from scraps. I've parked a fifth wheel through a few Florida summers, and the lot you choose matters more than the brochure suggests.

What's available in Greenacres
Four facilities sit right in Greenacres, and three of them keep the gate open around the clock, which helps if you roll in after a long haul. One offers indoor bays and another has covered spots, so you can get the rig out of direct sun if that matters to you. The rest are outdoor. Average rating across the four is 4.7, and the top names include two Public Storage locations plus Value Store It and Thunderbird Dr RV and Boat Storage. Twelve more lots are a short drive away if none of these fit your length or budget.
Covered versus open air
An open spot is fine for a few weeks, but Florida UV will chalk up tires and fade decals faster than you think. Covered storage cuts the direct sun and takes the edge off hail, though it won't stop blowing rain. Indoor is the real step up: no sun, no leaves in the vents, no standing water on the roof. If you're leaving the coach for months at a time, indoor or covered usually pays you back in fewer surprises when you return. Just check height and length limits before you commit.
Before you sign
Ask about gate hours even when a place advertises 24 hour access, since some lots lock the office but leave the gate code active. Walk the aisle where your rig would sit and look for low branches, puddles, and how tight the turns are with a tow vehicle. Confirm what insurance they require and whether the lot is lit at night. If you're storing over the off season, pull the batteries or put them on a maintainer, and top off the tanks with treatment. Small habits save big repair bills.

Questions people ask
How many RV storage facilities are in Greenacres?
There are four in Greenacres itself, with an average rating of 4.7 across them. Three offer 24 hour access, one has covered spaces, and one has indoor bays. If you need more options, twelve additional facilities are within a short drive of town.
Which Greenacres facilities have the best ratings?
Public Storage leads with a 4.9 from 352 reviews and offers indoor, climate controlled spaces with 24 hour access. Value Store It also scores 4.9 across 168 reviews with covered spots. A second Public Storage location rates 4.8 from 415 reviews.
Is indoor RV storage available in Greenacres?
Yes, one facility in Greenacres offers indoor storage, and it also has climate control and 24 hour access. If indoor isn't available for your dates, covered storage is the next best step for keeping sun and weather off the roof and tires.
Do I need to worry about the sun damaging my RV in storage?
Yes. Florida sun breaks down tires, fades gelcoat, and cooks seals over time. Covered or indoor storage cuts that exposure a lot. If you park outside, use tire covers, keep the roof clean, and check caulking before the rainy season starts.
