Covered and indoor spots
Centralia Vehicle Storage rates 4.6 from seven reviews and offers covered, indoor, and outdoor parking, plus boat storage and lights. Grand Mound Mini-Storage scores 4.5 from ten reviews with gated access, cameras, and boat parking, though it doesn't list RV types. Fords Prairie RV Storage sits at 3.9 from nine reviews. Titan Self Storage has 26 reviews and a 3.3 rating but brings gated access, cameras, climate control, and pull-through sites. With only four local facilities, availability can be tight, so call ahead and ask about gate hours, insurance requirements, and whether the spot is gravel or paved. Covered and indoor spots cost more but protect against sun and hail. Two covered and two indoor options mean you have some choice, but book early in spring.
What to check before you park
Visit in person before you commit. Look at drainage, since Centralia gets its share of rain, and make sure your spot doesn't turn into a puddle. Ask about security: gates and cameras are good, but check hours and whether anyone lives on site. For outdoor spots, plan on UV covers for tires and a battery maintainer if you're storing over winter. Winterizing matters here; a hard freeze can crack lines. Confirm what insurance the facility requires and whether your RV policy covers storage. With a dozen facilities nearby, compare reviews and drive through a few to see how tight the turns are for a big rig.
