About SmartStop Self Storage
SmartStop Self Storage sits in Troy and serves Clawson, Royal Oak and Sterling Heights. It's a self-storage facility that also lists vehicle, boat and RV storage, so there's a spot for a rig along with the usual household overflow. Reviews lean heavily on the people. Lucy, the property manager, comes up by name, and hundreds of reviews mention helpful staff. Renters describe a quick setup, clear explanations and a clean unit that matched what they expected. Packing supplies are on hand if you need them. One caution worth knowing: a reviewer complained that rent went up more than once, about 30% in a single month and nearly double over two years, so ask how increases work before you sign. Cameras are on site and climate-controlled units are offered.
