About Freeport Self Storage
Freeport Self Storage sits just off Route 1, about 25 minutes from Portland, and handles more than boxes. The listings include covered RV parking and boat storage alongside regular self-storage and auto storage. The place is gated, lit, and camera-monitored, with 24/7 access and online payments. Climate-controlled units and drive-up units are both offered, and carts and dollies are on hand. Reviews are mixed, and the pattern is worth knowing before you sign. Several reviewers say getting a person on the phone is hard, with calls routed to an answering service and emails that can't be replied to. A few describe being charged after giving notice to vacate and waiting on promised manager callbacks that didn't come. Others mention price increases during their time renting. A separate reviewer objected to being asked for personal details just to get a quote. Ask about the notice-to-vacate process and billing dates up front. One discount is advertised: a free month when six months are paid in full.
