81 Self Storage

About 81 Self Storage

This is a self storage spot on the Piedmont side of things that also takes boats and RVs. The gate runs 24 hours, and one reviewer called the storage clean with fair pricing. Another long-term customer said the units stay clean and prices are good, without the price tricks some newer places pull. Reviews are mixed, and it's worth reading them before you commit. A few people mention water getting into units during heavy rain and one called the layout a worry in a downpour. There are complaints about mice and about gate codes being changed without notice. Two reviewers say they didn't get their deposit back after cleaning out their units. Several reviews focus on how the owner handles things. One customer of over a year, who paid by auto pay, described a rough ending after they gave notice. Another said access cards for a whole household got shut off when one person's payment ran late. If you're storing something you care about, ask about drainage and the deposit terms up front.
